Dorset SEN Dance Festival 2027: Pupil consent form

About the Dorset SEN Dance Festival:

The Christchurch School Sport Partnership works with local schools to help all children enjoy PE, sport, and moving more. The Dorset SEN Dance Festival celebrates how dance and movement can help people be creative, express themselves, and explore the world around them in different ways. This year's theme is Creatures of the Earth: One Earth, Many Creatures. Children will explore different creatures and the places they live, from the depths of the ocean to the skies above, and from the jungle to the frozen world. Through dance, music, movement, play, sounds, and other creative activities, they will discover different ways to move and express themselves. The festival celebrates the amazing variety of creatures that share our planet, while recognising that every child is unique. It gives children the opportunity to be creative, explore their own ideas, and take part in a fun, accessible, and inclusive dance project. Together, the participating schools will contribute to a film celebrating the creativity, individuality, and achievements of all the children involved.

Filming the Festival:

From January 2027, we will be filming activities at your child's school as part of the Dorset SEN Dance Festival. The filming will be used to create a short film celebrating the children taking part in the festival and their creative exploration of the theme, Creatures of the Earth: One Earth, Many Creatures. The finished film will be shared with your child's school and the other schools taking part in the festival, so that everyone can celebrate what the children have achieved together.
